Heffalumps and Woozles and other critters

 They’re black, they’re brown,
They’re up, they’re down
They’re in, they’re out
They’re all about
They’re far, they’re near
They’re gone, they’re here
They’re quick and slick, they’re insincere
Beware, beware, be a very wary bear

In our little local park there is a thick woods.  This little woods seems to draw the strangest things.

Last year about this time, there was an escaped convict.  They had the local school on lock down and the FBI, large city SWAT team and several state police out looking for him.

This year we have just been notified that the little woods in the little town has a cougar in it. A jogging gentleman had said cougar jump from the woods to join him in his health pursuits.  However, due to the girls’ track team running right behind him, it was  frightened back into the woods.  (Now, just in case you’re wondering if the gentleman made the story up to make excuses for falling behind and getting run over by the girls’ track team, the fire dept has collaborated his story.)  😉

So, should you come to visit, beware, beware, be very wary there.
