No, I didn’t get the book finished – I’m working at it, I’m working at it – BUT, someone in our house has been also been working all week, trying to accomplish something. This morning, she succeeded.
Our little Squishburt (her Daddy’s favorite nick name) has found the dynamic of having Dad running the house, while Mom is busy to be one primed for fun. Dad is keeping all the siblings busy, so she has had some freedom to
reign terror play in ways she normally would not.
One of those ways is to crawl full steam ahead, with hopes of escaping the sight of any and all bigger folks and get her wiggly, chubby body up the stairs. Now, do keep in mind, in my house, we have 2 sets of stairs. So, her odds of managing to accomplish this task are doubled. All week long, we have managed to catch her in varying states of success.
HOWEVER, this morning she did it! She flew under the radar of the whole crew and sat at the top of the stairs laughing and clapping at her own perspicacity. It wasn’t until she started crowing her name, from that exalted position, that we found her.
Something tells me, this child has a bit more than her share of moxie. But kudos are due none the less – so this morning, I say, “Well done Squishburt!! Next time I DARE you to pick up all the Duplos you left on the living room floor!!” (Hey, it’s worth a try.) 😉
(I’m going, I’m going!!) 🙂
