Pause for thought….
Usually, I’m on the other side of the question, but this time I got to ask first – “Why have you chosen public school for your children?”
“Because,” she said, “we want them to be successful.”
Hmmm. What does the imply? The logical flow of thought that presents assumes that the world, the governor of that which is taught in public school, knows what success is. Fascinating.
~ I fear the popular notion of success stands in direct opposition in all points to the real and wholesome success. One adores public opinion, the other, private opinion; one, fame, the other, desert; one, feats, the other, humility; one, lucre, the other, love; one, monopoly, and the other, hospitality of mind.
